Attendance:
- A member must participate in 5 events for the 2024-25 season.
Cancellations:
- If you need to cancel, please notify your club rep who will contact the Attendance Chair, Carrie Rosenthal.
- If cancellation is within 24 hours of the event, you must notify the Pro Shop directly as well as your rep and Carrie.
- Cancellations prior to 72 hours will result in no fees or penalties.
- A player WILL BE charged for the event if cancelled within 72 hours, no exceptions.
Procedures:
- Players should be in their golf carts 15 minutes prior to the shotgun start.
- All scoring must be in Golf Genius. Scorecards should be exchanged and kept as a backup, but it is the player’s responsibility to ensure their hole-by-hole score is correct in Golf Genius.
- Please submit your paper scorecard until further notice.
- Be mindful of your pace of play. Play "ready golf" and stay with the group in front. If out of position, split into twosomes until such time as you have closed the gap.
- For example, when arriving at the tee, a group is out of position on a par 4 or 5 hole if the group ahead has left the green. Your group is therefore out of position. Split into twosomes at the putting green. Once caught up and back in position, you can play as a group of four.
Rules:
- USGA Rules govern play. A local rules sheet will be provided and supersedes the host club’s local rules.
- Distance-measuring devices may be used to measure distance only.
- Play a provisional ball if you may be lost or out of bounds.
- Play a second ball when in doubt about the correct procedure. Rule 20.1c(3)
- Discuss rules issues with the Rules Chair after play. Adjustments or corrections to the Golf Genius scoring must be made at the tournament site.
- If you find that you are having a challenging day on the course, you are welcome to withdraw from the competition and continue playing with your group. Any incomplete hole(s) should be entered with an X. Notify the Tournament Chair of the situation. This is a NC.
- If you stop playing during the round, this will be noted as WD. All incomplete hole(s) should be left "blank".
- In either situation, you will not be eligible for any points that day, but you will receive credit for attendance.
- Scoring will be done off-site, and emails will be sent to each club rep with the results.
- All scores will be posted to GHIN - do not post your own score.
Other
- All events are stroke play in flights. (Must hole out!)
- Points will be awarded to gross and net winners within each flight (2 gross; 5 net), including ties.
- All players are expected to be appropriately attired and display good sportsmanship and behavior.
- Clubs will do their best to accommodate dietary restrictions, but special meals will not be provided. Limited options should be available. The player should contact the host course rep for information regarding the planned menu.
- In the case of inclement weather during an event, the executive committee will determine if the event will be scored based on the status of a majority of players. All players will receive credit for attendance.
